Title of eGovernment leader for their contribution to introduce IT into public administration went to a Member of Slovak Parliament, Beáta Brestenská. The first place in the category of process enhancement was conferred to the Trnava´s Self-Governing Region for the almost complete removal of their paperwork which ultimately will result in a paperless office. Acknowledgement for company modernisation was given within the frame of the ITAPA 4th International Congress.
In the category of “New Services” where the jury assesses service benefits for citizens it was the eTax project with online electronic services provided by the Tax Directorate of the Slovak Republic that won recognition. eTax facilitates the Tax Directorate to communicate electronically with citizens, entrepreneurs, state administration, companies, and provides online electronic services to tax payers. As part of the system, electronic mail room common for all the tax offices will be put in service. The Tax Directorate entered the contest with the project while the implementation was the joint effort of Novitech Tax s.r.o., Ditec a.s., and pFlow s.r.o.
